since the jump to 3D models new shinnies have been better, they used to be just palette swaps but now they have to re-do the textures and while they´re at that actually put a little effort in choosing nice colors.

IIRC, most shiny colours prior to sixth gen were made by an algorithm that didn't receive much oversight. They didn't hand choose the colours.

not all green shinies are bad, but there's a lot of shinies that are a very specific shade of green, and it's not good.

Even worse, I did this with Poliwag for my living dex in ORAS and didn't notice until I was going through the Pokédex, looking at every single form to see how many different shinies I had seen and noticed that the only form I had ever seen for Poliwag was its shiny.
