Bellossom is too slow as a dancer. It's actually really hard to fit coverage into two moves for a grass dancer since they usually run Sleep Powder.

At the very least, it's got some okay bulk. 75/95/100 is respectable. But the 50 speed holds it back too much since it always has to take a hit. It's like how slow Shell Smashers suck compared to faster ones.

The worst thing is even with all this in mind Sceptile's lackluster movepool is still way better than a lot of Grass types. Grass syndrome is a real fucking problem.

It does NOT fit though. The most "mystic" Hitmonchan does is firing simple energy waves(Focus Blast/Vacuum Wave/Hidden Power) and adding an element to its punches.
Shadow Punch is creating a fucking portal to punch your enemy from god knows where.

Sceptile would never run in the Sun. There are no real decent Sun setters, and the only move it can use with the Sun is Solarbeam, which is weaker than Leaf Storm.

With the Dragon typing on his Mega he's got an easier time switching into sun mons than most, so if nothing else Growth provides nice counter tech to the enemy's sun. But if you wanted to run him with, say, Torkoal, you'd prefer Solarbeam over Leaf Storm simply because you can spam Solarbeam without losing your Growth boosts.

Though you are absolutely right that Sun is shit and Grass types in Sun are double shit.

It honestly upsets me more than it doesn't have any recovery. It's slow and bulky. The Mega already gives it a nice offensive boost. But it's even slower. It's practically begging for recovery.
