Is a 89% Dratini worth evolving?
Something inside me wants to evolve only 90+ Dratinis/Dragonairs. Heck with my first evolution I had a 95,6% Dragonair with pretty low CP, but I evolved it anyway and dust it so far to 3130 CP

What were they thinking when they made this new tracker? What were they thinking?? I was doing some errands and felt like playing Pokemon Go. There were lots of rats and pidgeys all over the place on the tracker pointing to PokeStops that were much further than the usual 200m distance. What's the point of that? And showing repeats? Might as well give us more than 9 possibilities than if that's the case, or at least let us have some filters.

The only thing I see is a long road. I have 4 Pokestops and 2 Gyms 25 minutes away, although it would take at least 40 minutes to visit them all.

literally just give us a rival team niantic, maybe they could be purple or whatever and new gym type structures show up that could be called strongholds and you have to attack the stronghold either alone or with friends. if you are the first one on your team to beat the stronghold you get a bonus for fighting it. if you are the first one overall to beat the stronghold you get a bigger bonus. maybe the same daily bonus thing applies so that it goes up by difficulty from level one to seven and also gives more xp/stardust or maybe gives you gold coins if you beat it seven days in a row. the rival team could react to events or if a certain team is dominating the area around the strong hold.

(i hate to say this) cosmetics would be cool, someone mentioned before that after earning the youngster/fisherman/pikachu fan medals you should be rewarded with the appropriate cosmetic or even just a badge to wear so that people could see that you earned that badge when you are on a gym. just give trainers a santa hat on christmas day

filtering shitmon from the scanner would be nice

discarding eggs (mostly 5km) would be cool

pokecenters would be cool, you could just walk to them and heal up to six pokemon for free with a 10 minute cooldown or something. there could even be a system where a pokecenter wouldn't be too close to a gym

type specific lures would be nice, i can't get any fire types near campus so if everyone got together and put a couple fire type lures most people would be so much closer to actually getting a charizard instead of just having ten venusaurs a blastoise and maybe 30 charmander candy.

a few reasons

I've done that. Not much recently but back when prestige was completely nerfed. I had no use for gyms but while walking up and down the central business district to grind mons for XP I'd take down gyms just to ruin other players days. Had no use for potions and revives so it was basically free schadenfreude. As long as I was hating the game, why shouldn't everyone else?

Looks like PoGo identify both xposed and root. Google updated safetynet again and as far I know chainfire's suhide and magisk don't work.
Without any modules active on xposed I get pic's message, not even the incompatible OS one.

See 4 gyms, but one is in a park that closes ridiculusly early.
4 stops around close, can't reach any of them from home, but I drift to each regularly.
Used to have a spawn point near that's not as active as it used to be.
At work my comfy spawn point was completley removed. :(

Spoofers give literally nothing to Niantic though. They have no reason to buy anything from the cash shop and they don't even provide any useable data to mine/sell because their behaviour isn't that of someone who's walking around irl. In fact if anything it makes it harder to detect trends in legit player behavior because it throws in a bunch of noise.

And for those reasons I'm acually not too bothered by spoofing, but saying that Niantic isn't getting rid of them because they want to keep the players is very unlikely, since they have a completely parasitic relation with the game.

They're artificially extending the life of their biggest cash cow. They game was destined to lose its initial hype, and now they have a good idea of what their core playerbase looks like. I don't defend their actions but they are not hard to explain and I highly doubt Niantic stockholders are losing sleep over normies leaving the game because they got bored of it. The amount of money that was made in that first month alone was probably enough to sustain development for several years but the first rule of capitalism is, if you can make money, do it.

Every move has a DPS value, that factors in animation time and STAB. But generally speaking when you're attacking a Gym you want to use Attackers that have Charge Attacks that do the most damage in one charge because of the higher DPS.

I don't trust the numbers.
It feels like my jolteon with discharge (which has 7 dmg more per second than the quick move) needs too long to 1. fill the charge bar, 2. attack including the animation 3. go back to the starting position.
If i keep spaming the quick attack I do about the same damage, if not more, AND I'm able to dodge incoming hydropumps.

The one and only ban wave was for the botters and the only thing that's happened since was a ban on rooted phones.

Over 20% of the userbase are spoofing with fly GPS atm. There is no way Niantic will willingly loose that number of players.

I'm no android wizard but is there a setting or something that allows Pogo and Pokemap to run at the same time?
It's very annoying when tracking a pokemon to have either app close and have to open it up again.

Anyone else notice that the combat is off? Not the obvious of there only being a quick move and heavy move but that type effectiveness isn't what it should be. Some people have probably already stated this, or at the least noticed it, before. But I've only been able to battle recently and found that some attacks that shouldn't be super effective against certain pokemon still are. Am I crazy or has this always been a problem?

Thunder Shock is a particularly shitty move, the only good thing about it is that it fills up the energy bar somewhat quickly.

2 bar and 1 bar charge moves are generally worth using. You might want to learn how long different moves take to be executed to use them correctly though.
Even, say, Aqua Tail with its 45 power is a good move to use

It doesn't seem like the dual typing is correct though. I may be wrong but I saw this with my Aerodactyl fighting a Rhydon.

The Rhydon used Stone Edge and it was super effective on my Aerodactyl. Sure, it's flying type but it's also rock type so the move should've only been normal damage.

Also, immunities are not accounted for in this game so, Earthquake is supereffective against say, Charizard.

I thought immunities were just shitcanned to plain resistances in GO, so fire/flying would cancel each other out against ground and you're left with regular damage.

I thought each type always resisted itself, with the exception of normal and dragon. I swear I remember rock pokemon always resisting rock moves. But then again, a lot of rock types are also rock/ground.

Sometimes I use them for prestige in the rare event when a low lvl gyarados is the first in a gym. That is, if the pikachu is with electric attacks, have the right CP and I don't have anything better in that CP.
