As for the console itself, I don't see how normies and kids will find it attractive. Considering the leaked prices, it's a worse console than the PS4, and a worse mobile device than a tablet or a phone. It's simply not a good investment. What demographic is the Switch targetting?

My prediction for Pokemon (since you had to loosely relate this shitpost to the board) is we'll get either a Sun and Moon port or Starts/whatever. The game was blatantly made with the Switch in mine, heck it feels like a port. No 3D, minimal use of the second screen, no spotpass, etc.

I think what will probably happen is Sun/Moon's third sister will go to the Switch and MAYBE we'll get Z on the 3DS.

The third party support was incredibly poor. All they did was shit out quick and generally glitchy or unstable ports and fail to support them. Then they went on to act as if it's the consoles fault that they didn't sell when we all know it's because they were shit.

It's a portable home console anon basically the thing that attracts people is the fact you can instantly switch between the two with no issues.

You could take out the GB cartridge, insert it on a SNES and play it on your TV.

I don't think you understand the difference between switching off a console, pulling out the cart and putting it into an adapter cart and switching on a different console and what the Switch does.

You literally just slap the joy cons on, pull out the screen and you're set.
No wires limiting your movability.
No accessories you have to purchase separately.

-Motion sensor "wand" controller functionality like Wii
-Hardware is more or less Wii U with more juice (albeit with AMD's competitor's GPU instead)
-There's even supposed "VR" which is more or less how a glorified Virtual Boy works.

Considering how much Shields cost, I doubt that'll be much issue. They don't have to pay Android a licensing fee and ARM hardware is fairly inexpensive.

The Switch on the other hand has it built in for no extra cost with little to no visual downgrades as well as the fact it's considerably faster to make the switch between console and handheld.

3DS is still selling at 200 DOLLARS 5 years later. The reason it didn't sell because Nintendo didn't release any games. They have franchises that can move over 10 millions units a piece. They held them off for the most part.

Vita made Sony quit handhelds. Switch pretty much killed any chance of Sony succeeding there now. It's basically what Sony has been trying to do with their handheld line for years. Sony literally can never succeed there unless they gimp their home console line dramatically, which would let Microsoft completely obliterate them next gen at the only thing they do right.

I wouldn't say the 3DS failed, it just took a while for it to get on its own feet. If they fail at the launch price, they'll just drop it like what they did with the 3DS (and hopefully give the early adopted some reward).

Between Yooka Laylee, Seasons of Heaven, and the better running Breath of The Wild, I know I'm most definitely getting this system.

I don't think Vita's aren't even stocked in stores anymore. Of course no one has one. I have one my friend gave me, but the piracy is garbage atm with buggy saves so I don't even touch it anymore until they fix that shit.

I just have mine on my phone. My only gripe with the 3ds is that I weren't with the xl for the bigger screen and that it's way to heavy for me to want to carry around all day. It only leaves the house when I'm sure it'll get some use.

Nintendo pretty much dominated Japan in software/hardware the last 5 years even with the Wii U not selling anything. Seriously the closest thing is PS4 over there and it'll be lucky to sell half as much as the 3DS in its lifetime. Final Fantasy fell off a cliff over there.
