gen 4 remakes can't be good because gen 4 is inherently bad. You'd need to start from scratch to make it work

Not gonna lie. The snow town was the only good thing about Gen 4's overall design. While I'm not against adding extra evolutions, I disliked most of the evolutions designs. Also fuck the mining town. What a boring style. I would have made it a gold rush theme, something a bit more exciting than the giant lump of coal in the center of town.

SM's flaws are so root deep you'd need to completely trash it and start over to make it not so

DP could get an ORAS-tier remake and still be fine since its only realy flaws are engine based and the terrible regional dex, which modern GF would not let slide at all sadly if it's Gen VII SM's root-deep flaws would ruin even a straight up Platinum remake
