Tough question. I don't even mind the green and pink ones that much but the oens I like the least are probably the ones where you can't that easily see that they're shiny, like Gengar.

It's level 1 and Adamant, but the person who bred it didn't seem to care about anything else. But this is cool because I'll be able to have shiny forms of both Lycanrocs. Just need to get one of my friends with Moon to evolve one of them.

Still on the cucumber grind. Stopped for a few days, now I've totally lost track of how many I've pumped out.

Last proper hunt (not counting accidents like abra, drampa, and the pikipek I ran away from [FUCK]) was sandygast.
Least favorite would have to be...primarina, I guess. It just looks worse than the original. Or maybe gengar (I know about mega gengar, don't start with me).

every other event mon in existence has had a shiny even prior to being announced. magearna has a forme change, and that forme doesnt have a shiny either (they technically have shinies, but there are actually 0 color changes. not even a pixel lighter or darker than base)

It is actually visible when it isn't using the Z-Move, but it's very faint, much like early garchomp or seel. Easiest to see if you look at the little puff on top of it's head while it's next to a non-shiny, since that's actually the only visible part that changes outside the Z-move.

I guess, but if you're chaining something, you probably don't care much about its IVs, which means you won't really be battling with it anyway. And a free shiny is just no work at all.

Dhelmise maybe, because it can be pretty weak and meh. Just boring because it takes so long you basically have to make it the new caller every time since it's so awful, and it's ghost so you need scrappy plus the scrappy holding a shed shell.
Drampa, well there's a reason Moon's Lanakila Pokemon are lower level, and that's it. The thing WILL put some decent sized dents in a lot of pokemon, even higher level ones, because of it's massive SpA, so bring a special defender. Other than that it's not nearly as hard as Dhelmise, I was considering it after Slowbro, Mimikyu and Bounsweet.

I finished last night, what I did was snipe any mons I didn't have with what I had, then captured Magmar, Electabuzz, Slowpoke and Feebas, made them hold the trade items and asked for their evolved forms in GTS, got all of them in like 5 mins, then just try to get a Relicanth with them and mass produce the Relicanth for the rest, its like a goldmine

Just chained this after 60 or so calls after getting a Cutiefly in around 20.

It has 4 IVs, missing HP and Sp.Def, and actually got lightningrod. I did get the Modest nature synchronize, and caught it in a level ball.

I'm afraid of my good luck going bad but this is pretty great lately.

I think after getting relicanth, I may go for a blue t-rex now since Tyrantrum has a nice dark blue color to it. I'm also working on getting a careful natured shiny gyarados from Soul Silver by playing through it again since bulky mega gyarados with t-wave, d-dance, dragon tail, and waterfall works pretty well since you can cripple half someone's team with t-wave, juggle any setup mons with dragon tail (excluding fairies, which is what waterfall is for), and d-dance when they get swapped into something that wouldn't fare well against mega gyarados.

I can't count the number of times people have quit on showdown from me just dragon tailing their setup sweeper after they used something like evoboost baton pass eevee, shell smash minior, etc.

Would you consider RNG hacking? This is without using PKHex for the seed of course. Personally I don't see anything wrong considering you don't have to edit anything in game to do it. If anything just a odd way of shiny hunting.

No. The closest I've gone is magikarp swapping, and that's only for mons that take a long ass time to hatch like relicanth. Anything that uses any sort of hacking/injection thats outside of the initial game just takes the fun out of working for a shiny. I want to be able to get these shinies, be they through breeding, chaining, or whatever and actually go out and use them competitively or for the battle tree.

I got an RNG'd shiny cryogonal (one of my favorites in BW) from negotiations in BW2. Obvious that it was RNG'd because the catch date was 2001, but I consider it legit enough because it was simply abuse of the in game mechanics to legit spawn a shiny rather than forcibly injecting or creating one.

Even with how easy it is to RNG in the 5th generation, it takes work to manipulate the RNG to produce a shiny for you. You can also RNG in FRLG and in XD/Colosseum, and those are a bitch to do. I'd just consider SRing or not shiny hunting at all on those games, honestly.

I only used RNG to see what it was like. Not much satisfaction for myself. I'm only using it once more to get a female shiny salandit and them I'm done.

I use Decidueye for most of my hunts. Leaf blade, spirit shackle, substitute to avoid damage/stat reductions/dots like infestation or pain split, and false swipe.

Parasect (it must have damp and spore), Decidueye, Smeargle, and ALWAYS bring a heal pulse (like slowbro) for difficult to catch ones like Beldum.
Some pokemon have a perfect match for chaining, like Mimikyu for Jangmo-o.

I think i've reached the end of my Shiny Hunting adventure. MM with Shiny Charm is legit broken and in doing it I've gotten 12 hatched eggs and 2 wild shiny.

Maybe I'll start up again when Bank comes out (in march lol) but for now I think I'm content with what I got.

Nincada is gold, not plain at all and makes 2 shinies
Phione is just a personal favorite of mine idk, I love teal colored shinies. Also it has the whole "event only" thing due to needing a manaphy to make it or a phione to breed from so meh.
