yay or nay? It could help differentiate stuff like Garchomp and Flygon (Garchomp for stronger dragon STAB, Flygon for stronger ground STAB)

I've always been on the fence about this (because I have a feeling it would invalidate more Pokémon than help,) but I'd be on-board for it, to be honest. It might catalyze more rare type combos, too, and it would definitely be a boon for types that are uncommon in the first slot, like Flying.

Garchomp would still outclass Flygon by a mile
Also, Gamefreak would have to get off their asses and give some pokemon a bigger movepool for this to work the way you want it.
