At least over 60 episodes later they are finally giving a shit about the bad animation. I now just suggest everyone to skip to the Goku Black arc because everything before that is garbage (except maybe a few select episodes). Seems like the Black arc and everything after it will be fine. The current arc seems to be rather decent and reminiscent of the original Dragon Ball fights (not spamming beams, unique characters, actual strategy used). If it has no new transformation asspulls, it should be fairly good.

I would say tri looks worse, comparatively. When you consider tri has a movie budget and Appmon only has a TV budget, Appmon looks more or less fine and from what I've noticed so far has little quality and pretty good CGI. Tri on the other hand, for movies, looks like absolute ass and has some of the worst CGI I've seen from Toei in years.

I said it was "okay" never said it was good. The current arc still has shoddy models, but 90% of the time it's actually on-model which definitely wasn't the case for anything before the black Goku arc. It was more like 90% of the time shit would look off-model as fuck and the animation was virtually non-existent.

How does this season even progress ? There are no island trials and, since they stuck in a school, they'll more likely visit other island for a short amount of time before returning on Melemele.

This bait always gets me because the retards that spout it so clearly mean bad ARTSTYLE, despite the animation being the most fluid and lively it's been in years. Hell even the original Indigo League was shitty, it mostly consisted of reused animations, limited or stagnant backgrounds with stagnant characters in the forefront with the only movement being eyes or mouths.

Just last year Duel Masters was dethroned from being the best selling TCG with the greatest player base in Japan.

They also liked the anime well because it was a comedy almost all the time even in "important" fights. It flopped in the west because people thought "YGO ripoff with a Magic ripoff gameplay", when... Wizards itself made that card game in the first place.

You realize the English Duel Masters dub didn't even pretend to be accurate to the original and just replaced half the dialogue with wacky comedy, right?

It was a comedy first, I doubt that if they were that lazy they would animate a lot of scenes just to make place for the dialogues.

Maybe I'm mistaken since I didn't watch all of it, but the point about being huge in Japan stands.
