>>33141431It's your first comp.
Nobody starts out amazing.
Using your favorites is often risky, especially when they're sorta underpowered, and in competitions with weird-ass metas like this one you can run into things that you'd never see in the more 'normal' metas.
If you still have the fortitude to try a next comp, I'd recommend taking a good look at what is allowed and what kind of pokes look to be especially good.
Don't always slap a 252/252/4 spread on everything, try to see if there's certain threats from which you'd want to be able to tank one (or a certain amount) of hits, or how much speed you actually need to outspeed the things you want to outspeed.
Check if your planned team has some horrific overall weaknesses in there, something like "oh god, half my team gets eaten by Tyranitar" and proceed from there. Maybe add a TTar counter or swap something out, or slap a fighting move on something that usually doesn't have it and invest enough EVs to OHKO TTar before it murders you.
Oh, and keep in mind that Showdown usually has ladders for these cups as well, allowing you to test your team before breeding it.
