GF's remakes so far have skirted along a weird line, where they remake the game almost entirely, throw in some newer features/pokemon, and maybe an altered/extra bit of postgame content (sevii islands/battle frontier/delta episode), but they also do really dumb things like outright removing good features or mechanics.
I would love a 3D Kanto remake, but will GF do what they normally do and remove the added sevii postgame, make a worse postgame, or just flat out not have one other than the battle maison. for the third time. It would also help the current games continuity as being the place Lillie went to in the end of SM, maybe giving her cameos or have some important plot thread. it would tie in really well, plus give Gen7 newcomers access to Kanto forms easily.
Gen4 deserves a remake, but I wouldn't go so far as to believe 5 does yet. BW2 is still a fucking monumental game.
Distortion World in 3D would be glorious.
