Why do so many people seem hyped over new Ultra Beasts?

They're essentially legendary pokemon, which mean that 90% of you are just going to catch them and box them.

I would much rather get new pokemon to use throughout the story rather than UBs.

Also, most of the designs are just awful, but I think I'm in the minority with that thought.
