Really curious on how much the story will change. Like, is Lusamine even going to be the UB obsessed, child abusive villain we saw in vanilla SM? In one of the recent trailers we saw Gladion and Hau in what appears to be her cryo chamber, so that might mean she's gonna remain the same...but then there's the altered intro where instead of Aether grunts it's the Ultra Recon Squad that's chasing Lillie...but it's possible they're working with Lusamine...

I was not implying some kind of relationship, they are laying in the Altar of the Sunne/Moone, and she warns us about that (Necrozma), considering Lusamine and Guzma went to Ultraspace in SM, maybe they got sucked by an Ultrawormhole during the frozen pokemon scene, and we rescue them, hence why they are laying on the floor, they fainted.

According to the merch and stuff, Nihilego still has a part to play in USUM specifically. Considering it's Lusamine's signature mon, and the fact that Gladion in the cryo-chamber says something like "If mom disappears too," then she's still obsessed with the beasts.

My guess is she captures Nihilego still, but afterwards in her redemption she and Guzma protect Lillie from Necrozma at the altar.

I doubt he's dead.
It appears to not be regular Guzma, someone already pointed out the jackets pattern is the same, but the layout is changed.
It could be someone new, or a new jacket, but what significance would there be to a new jacket on Guzma, even previously in SM he kept his jacket and just crossed out the skull insignia
