I've been saving every edit posted here in the edit threads, some of which were started and a WIP was posted afterwards, but they were never finished.
Here's the thing, would you like me to post a gallery of unfinished edits in hopes of someone picking them up from there or could that have a negative effect?

V on top should just have its color changed. The gold on the belt should be changed to a crystal. As for the arm, if you do put the logo there, don't make it a pin: use the bare logo like near the top left of these scans.

Looks a lot better, anon!
Though I do have some further issues with it. Sorry If it seems like I'm making you keep working.
Here's what I think you should do:
>smooth the lines instead to fit Aether's art-style, but make sure they're still sharp to an extent; can't look blurry (Aether Character art showcases this well)
>give the shoes and the area around them a bit more detail, around Faba's level of detail
>replace the Aether logo with a crystal, similar to the other Aether Admins, and make sure there's one visible on the other arm as well
>coat should resemble the original design more (see black arrow on bottom edit to see what I mean), but keep the length of the current edit
>gold rings should be more U-shaped: refer to Faba and Aether Grunt scans
>sleeve cuffs should be more pronounced like Aether Scientists, or should be exactly like where the blue arrow is pointing left in the image
>add back the two missing rhombus shaped buttons on the black shirt, but change them to small, aether-style buttons, but if they don't seem to fit, revert to the rhombus style buttons
>sleeves should be moved back a bit to where they were in the original design
>add back the Aether pin, but put it up higher and pointing almost straight up
>knees need to be pronounced a little more, but this might be hard to pull off; refer to Aether Grunt's official art for this
>if possible, change the visor's "eyes" to resemble a part of the Aether logo more, where a black arrow is pointing in the image
>turn the gold part of the belt into a crystal, like the big chest one on the previous edit but facing horizontally instead of vertically
Everything in this image wasn't done by me except for placing arrows, it's from the Sage threads when they were finalizing the design.

Not great since I've been busy with college. This next month is super busy as well but I'll see if i can't at least get some decent progress done. Mostly though there was a lack of interest so i took a break.

Ps: Mentioned this last time but I had to edit her shorts to cover the crotch since it was dangerously close.
Placing them with jean short either way in the final product so doesn't really mater though

Probably Photoshop or some other program.
Find a trail or something and just mess around for fun.

As for actual edits some simple tips. There are lots of ways but these are just my two cents
-layers help. Put the base pic you want to edit as the lowest layer and any edit you want on top
-If you want to color swap stuff you can convert the pic to monochrome> make a layer above it > set layer to multiply >
the monochrome colors are replaced easily.
-Color part 2(kinda): If you only want to color certain bits you can layer bases. Say if I want to just do the shirt or something
then i can copy the shirt and put it on top. Then just follow the stuff above and stay in the lines

Also there are dozens of videos and guides online but I'm sure myself or someone else will respond if you have a question
