OP, think about it like this.

This is the very first time since USUM was announced that we actually got an official announcement about a press release.

Every other trailer thus far didn't get that prior announcement from The Pokemon Company.

We are also within the prior few weeks before the game is launched. So this trailer should be expected to include the remaining content that The Pokemon Company wants us to see before we buy the game.

I'm definitely looking forward to it but I'm not have specific expectations. I'd love something like new Pokémon (UBs, alliance forms) but I'm not expecting it. It's more accurate for me to say what I don't want it to be (fucking z moves or another feature like the photo club one)

Every trailer always has some kind of new information. There's no guarantee it will be information that matters to you...but it does have new info. All the Groudon posts are just because the content shown is content that doesn't matter to the poster. They're not necessarily wrong, nor are they necessarily right. It's about personal desire for the games.

By now, if you're excited for the games based on something you've already seen, a trailer is not going to take it away. If you're not excited, it's not likely that it can add tremendous amount of hype either. You're excitement for these games, in all reality, can only go up or remain the same.

No matter what, they won't show off a battle frontier, and that means the groudonposting will never stop. They could show off 5 new pokemon but if it's not the battle frontier they wouldn't care.

They won't have a new mythical, they'll save that for 8th gen since it's releasing 2018 and the fact that the 8th gen pokemon will be in the 2018 Pokemon Movie as well

That pokemon probably is the Gen 8 mythical, or at least a Gen 8 pokemon, like Magearna or Zoroark. Either way they're not going to reveal it in the USUM trailer because it's not going to be in USUM.

What I meant by this is that Magearna and Zoroark were the first reveals of their respective gens, not that they're Gen 8 pokemon.

Point still is no matter what, all of us here are going to use some of the limited time we have to play the game, whether it is paid for or not. Don't worry, man. If they do showed a lil bit of new info, then expect a final trailer to be possibly released few days before the games are out. I mean, they did the same thing for Sun and Moon by showing the Starters' Exclusive Z-Moves along with Xurkitree and Guzzlord.
