Should be revealed in a special Pokémon direct in March 2018, however Nintendo is trying to have it featured in the January Nintendo Direct to showcase what they will have in 2018. It should be out Fall 2018.

It will be a single game called Pokémon Cloud Burst or something like that. The gimmick is "Fusion" so the cover legend is a fusion. You get both but the one you start off with can be chosen sometime in the middle of the game by "choosing a path". The game will be a bit more open ended. There are still gyms you have to progress through, but the path to each gym isn't linear, there are multiple paths. Dive battles are a feature (almost like Sky Battles), and there are a few bike races and mountain climbing challenges for you to face. The legendary pokemon are a cloud bird and an ocean octopus which fuse into a single "Cloud Burst" Pokémon. The third legendary is based on the earth and is made of two pokemon (one rock and one grass) which both become dragon type when splitting. The starters are based on Sports. We have a feminine looking Grass/Dark walking bat based on a runner, a Fire/Fairy OX that throws these "fairy javelins", and a Water/Poison Kiwi Bird based on a Sumo Wrestler
