>>34226947I personally enjoyed ORAS a lot more than RSE because it was essentially improved RSE to me. Same games, with some big changes and additions to the world and story, as well as the Pokemon and mechanics. Emerald is my absolute favorite Pokemon game though and even though I feel like ORAS has some improvements overall, the fact it didn't use the Emerald changes ultimately places it lower than that game on my list.
>>34226957I really dislike the Sinnoh region itself, the characters, the plot and a lot of the gen 4 Pokemon/Pokemon distribution. It was the first and only gen where I didn't like even one of the starter Pokemon at all, nor the legendaries minus Shaymin. Barring a few Pokemon like Froslass or Chingling, it just felt the weakest to me in terms of new Pokemon designs and it felt like a slog to assemble a team I liked. I didn't enjoy the game all that much because of all of these things in conjunction with one each other.
