The reason why we were okay with it BEFORE, is because STANDARDS CHANGE AS THINGS EVOLVE! BW2 really should have been the last of it. 3DS is fully capable of updates and DLC and Game Freak is sitll doing their outdated practices because we got a bunch of apologists who defend and market GF completely for free. Intelligent Systems did versions better with Fire Emblem Fates, with its respective 3rd version being a completely different campaign. Even Yokai Watch did the 3rd version a hell of a lot better than Game Freak did.
Then theres the most worrying part that Game Freak has been pushing these alternate dimensions pretty hard since 2014 but they really haven't done much with it. USUM was the perfect opportunity that they should have explored this whole alternate dimension stuff but USUM's plot is still 90% the same. They didn't explore it with characters having different personalities. They didn't explore alternate scenereos such as some towns being different due to, whatever. We should be beyond this, buut Game Freak, in typical Game Freak fashion took 2 steps back and in the end it doesn't mean shit because Game Freak has their own personal volunteer marketing company that they themselves don't even know who exist.
and I swear if you tell me "hurr durr if u don't like the game, dont buy them" I will kill you if I ever see you face-to-face.
