>>34270737No you didn't, you're just stomping your feet and whining because someone wrote an actual thought-out response to your claims,.and you can't be bothered to refute any of them. If you're just too lazy to you can just move on from the thread instead of shitposting.
You're really just proving anyone who cries how insufferable XYfags are right when the only response you have to criticisms is to constantly resort to ad-hominems like you are right now, especially considering how the subject matter is a cartoon for kids.
>>34270744True enough. I also thought of the Mad Max movies while reading your post, similar in that a lot of the time Max is the viewpoint character but the story is often not really "about" him.
I think my third sentence earlier still applies though, because a lot of the time when the show focuses on Ash it wasn't "how is he going to inspire someone today", it was "how is he going to advance towards the league today". You could argue the former was caused by the latter, but I think if they really wanted it to be better they should've had that interplay like Ash/Dawn had where they copied each others' techniques and whatnot. If Serena did the Rock Tomb Tomb at some point for example, that would've been pretty good.
Still, you've convinced me to at least better appreciate what they were trying to do. I still think a lot of it was really poorly planned out though, from Serena not getting a goal until like 50 episodes in, to Shota only showing up like halfway through the show, and Alain...well, I don't even really remember how Alain was affected by Ash really, he just really wanted to fight the guy and he pretty much turned on Lysandre on his own after he announced he was going to genocide everyone.
