Another bland character is Archer, less memorable and pretty much less interesting than Ariana, Petrel and Proton, appears out of nowhere, never met before and after the battle and his two lines of autistic screeching for Giovanni, the rest of the gang had personality at least, even in FRLG.
I'm sure each Gym Leader, Elite 4 and Champion or Frontier Brain has fans tho.
