Unfortunately they never really followed up on that, I thought it was a cool side-quest and gave people some kind of thing to ship
Or maybe have it so its kind of like a generic dating sim where the more you talk to one of the available girls, the more they like you and you can battle them to gain more affection and also give them gifts like berries or stones to gain more affection
