It's actually very traditional, with little to no imported traditions. They put up Kagami mochi and daidai altars that are later consumed when the celebrations end. There are also festivals.

First few days of the year they visit shrines to pray and get omamori.

Being a Galactic Grunt doesn't seem like it would be too bad, it seems similar to Magma in that it's run like an organization. Plus the Galactic base has beds and all those motivational signs everywhere, so they're probably not treated badly (even though Cyrus sees them as expendable).
As for Plasma, that's a tough one. Ghetsis probably isn't the greatest to work under, some grunts in BW were scared of him. But other than that I don't remember if anything was said about what Plasma is like as a team or how it is for the grunts.
At any rate, Aqua grunts clearly have it the best. Lucky bastards can relax whenever they want and get to work with Archie & Shelly.

If Pokeani is anything to go by just like real Yakuza Rocket lures people in vulnerable situations with promises of money to get them out of their troubles, so there are rockets that aren't actually bad people, just desperate. And they are mostly threated badly, the admins are awful people to the core in the games iirc.

Most probably never actually escalate on the ranks for being seen as disposable.

Guzma and Archie are oposites in that regard. All family and shit. Archie is known to get angry very easily and be terrifying when he's mad, but he doesn't take his anger on his grunts, just snoogies. Probably then screams into a pillow later.

Archie's brand on rage is a less violent one even. If the character sheet is to be believed, his rage face scares his grunts and admins but he isn't really angry as much as he gets very excited as if he was taking a challenge or something.

Long story short, in the original comic the joke is that the Senpai there was having a dream of a really good best case scenario in her mobage, but the dream got interrupted by the other girl right before January 1st started, so the 'good luck for the next year' got nullified.
Senpai then uses the first sunrise to make her own hatsuyume with the girl as the eggplant as punishment.

Matt is a more happy individual who openly treats Archie as the broest of bros and he himself acts very friendly until Delta Episode makes him snap.

Courtney behaves in a more detached way to others that aren't Maxie (or the player to some degree) and snapping in the Delta Episode didn't help on the reputation neither.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that on the surface Courtney looks more like a creepy stalker, while Matt is more like a more emotional guy and people may be subconciously giving him a free pass because of that happy behavior even if on deeper analysis it makes it be even creepier than Courtney's.

Yeah he's far creepier. The way Courtney speaks and behaves towards people imply that she's more interested in what they represent and their potential, than by the person themselves. She made Maxie's dream her own, and when that dream and her idealized version of Maxie was destroyed, she snapped and tried to fuck everyone over. Her rant in the Delta episode was about THE GLORY OF THE TEAM. She obviously fears Maxie given how she reacts after being caught.

Matt got personal. He started to rant about how people "ruined" their bro, how he loved his bro so much, how frustrated he was that he was not enough for his bro, and starts to fucking hate and act aggressive towards the player, a 12 year old child, because he sees you as the main influence that "ruined" his bro. At least he still respected Archie enough to listen to him and stop, didn't even try to challenge him.

He also owns 7 fucking tapes of Archie content.

I preordered my stuff on Sunyshore Pokémart (the store linked in the Pokeshopper site). I have heard good stuff from there and it ships to many countries so I went with it. They have a commission fee added to their merch price which tbqh doesn't make the price too different from the amazon stores that ship nip stuff to my country so I don't mind it much.

Nips are more simple people. They just merge the Japanese names, usually the first 2 syllables.

For example Archie/Maxie is known as Aomatsu (AOgiri+MATSUbusa)

I remember a talk I read in one of my /vg/ generals on the matter, seems doujinshi is a bit more strict when it comes to the fujoshi demographic. A lot of artists can get really angry if they find out their doujins are being scanned and resort to lock their twitters and stuff like that, which I guess is what makes the people who buys them wary and respect the golden rule.

His wife and Silver are still operating what was left of Rocket and making a mess in Kanto and Johto, and he's working closely with Looker to find and stop them. He still loves his ex-wife and child and it pains him to have to face them like this. His Nidoking and Nidoqueen tattoo used to represent them.

That's not beach gear, it's a jinbei bottom with wooden sandals.

Well your idea is a really nice turn of events I would say, and actually is kinda spot on on what I had in mind.
Well at least if you take the professor-less, Arianna being the wife instead of the sister-in-law, Lance pulling a straight face-heel turn and Looker aside the core is still spot on, with Gio not wanting anything to do with the old yakuza ways and trying to shut down Neo Rocket which gave up on trying to bring him back and went to do their own business their own way.

I had the idea that at first Gio was just using the whole "I'm disbanding Team Rocket and retiring to study pokémon" as a facade to get away from justice since apparently in the Pokémon world if you are a researcher you get a lot of free passes unless you fuck up real big, and the plan was to have Rocket disbanded only a couple of years just to not look suspicious.

But Gio gets to like being clean and actually studying pokémon (battles more so, which is what he takes his specialty on later) so he never goes with his plan of pulling Team Rocket back together, which upsets Silver big time and leaves to be a thug somewhere in Kansai I mean Johto.

Lance hates how the system let's Giovanni get away with everything just because he became a man of science, and decides to work with Neo Rocket (who band up together with or without Gio anyway) with the intention of setting a trap for them and Gio too in hopes that it will get him jailed. But Lance takes his vigilante quest a bit too far which turns him into what he swore to fight.

Having said all of this, I really would love to see your idea worked on. These AUs need more AUs because all AUs are valid! Crisis of Infinite AUs. And it's 4 am here I should go to sleep already.

Also don't hate me for saying that from the thumbnail I got a bit reminded of Mohn

I like it. It could actually work in this other scenario because it seems he did get away and went to live peacefully in Sevii, so he accepted Neo Rocket's deal thinking he could later betray them all and bring them to justice, but got too enamoured of the life style and money he had access to.
