What's in your opinion the best battle in the whole series or your favorite? Personally mine would be Iris's champion fight or maybe Cyrus's distortion world fight.

I was pretty hyped when the edge lord turned out to be some jobber and the real bad guy was the chubby mayor of the watertown.

The climax of Black White main campaign is my favorite of any pokemon game, and a lot of it has to do with the final battle with Ghetsis. He's thus far the only antagonist that feels threatening and dangerous. Much of that goes to him being the final boss rather than a distraction before the final badge. He was also decently hard compared to past villain characters.

Bonus points: I love that he is the only truly evil character in the whole series.
