Mantine surfing is piss easy. The wormhole game had a slight learning curve and gets infinitely easier when you change controls to circle pad.

It's not that many, who cares? All it does is reduce the value of the small handful of shinies that can be found. True TM gamers breed their own shinies anyways for better control of ability/IVs/nature/etc.

I have been playing this shitty wormhole mini game for the past week. Consistently getting 6k Lightyears on every run, and I still haven't got a single goddamn shiny. You may have bad luck, but you don't have a shiny drought in the wormhole mini game.

Did you switch the control scheme for the wormhole? Using the circle pad makes it 1000x easier.
Also in my experience riding Solgaleo instead of Lunala is easier.
