There are several people with Psychic powers, though anyone in the Pokeverse can gain psychic powers by training.

And there's Riley and Ash who have aura powers. Unlike psychic powers though, aura is something you have to be born with.

All the trainers we play have special abilities to, the ability to understand pokemon and to bring out their full power in battle, the ability to use multiple z moves and mega evolve, you know shit like that, is said to be rare in the games even if it's just a gameplay mechanic to us.

If we're talking motif, FRLG is peak Sabrina.

HGSS Sabrina's design does have a casual air about it, but also makes her seem like she's a martial artist.

She doesn't, the anime is not canon, trainers in game levitating balls is explained as being a trick, the shadow triad were just moving really fast and not teleporting, the only actual supernatural ability displayed by people in game is the claircognizance of NPCs who can tell you when you caught your pokemon and at what level etc

Sinnoh was great but it feels like wasted potential that Ash didn't teach Infernape Aura Sphere. He also, apparently, owns the TM for Flame Charge, which is more useful on anime Infernape than the generic Flamethrower.
