A lot of Fighting types are only obviously Fighting types because of the way they’re posed. Locario doesn’t really look like a Fighting type until it strikes a pose. Same for Toxicroak, Heracross, Breloom, Medicham, Infernape, Pangoro, Bewear, Passimian, Kommo-O...
And some don’t even look like Fighting types then, like Scrafty, Pheromosa, Meloetta, the Musketeers, mega Mewtwo...

It's because of their basis, you fuck. They don't design pokemon and decide on types afterwards. It makes sense conceptually for each you listed if you're cultured enough to know what pokemon are based on (which usually doesn't require a lot)

Not always, but when it isn't, it is usually outlined on the pokemon.
It's why Sawk and Throh wear the karate outfits. On their own, the Red/Blue oni shtick isn't a fighting type. Put 'em in the outfit, now they are fighting types.
