It's clear Serena as more mass-appeal. No one really wants to admit it, but the general public really likes pale blonde girls. Also, if a female artist likes Calem she's more likely to self-insert as Serena because she's a player character than as Shauna, one of the weakest rivals in the series. She's also kinda forgettable since she got lumped in with Tierno (somebody most people WANT to forget) and Trevor (someone super dull). Tragic really because her personality and design are really cute. I like the cute little inept girl, she's so adorable.
