The worst part? I found a male one right away, but I need a female one. I spent like 4 hours entirely forgetting about the cute charm ability. Thank god I finally remembered it. Now instead of getting five (5!) male Starlys per horde, I'm getting 3-5 females, which is nice. Still killing me, though.

I don't know why starly hordes are so damn hard. I spent three hours per day trying and for a shiny stunky, a shiny male nidoran, a shiny female nidoran with fucking hustle (bad natures, all of them), but no starly until literally the last day of the month. And a male one. I asked a friend with better luck to breed some females in different balls later for my ORAS.

yup, that's what I'm doing. Carbink is nice for this, since even crits only do 1 damage to him. Plus, since the ability is keen eye, I can add in flash on top of skill swap and get a total of 30 PP instead of just 10. Plus the cute charm, like I said, to increase the chances of getting a female. If anyone needs female Stunkys, just let me know - I've found like a million of them :^)))

You could always find someone with a non-US copy of one of the games and get them to breed you a 6IV mon that's in the bug egg group. If you get them to breed you a foreign 6IV Venipede, then it'll have the fastest breeding time possible!

Unfortunately, no. The 4IVs are forced, so in order to get a 5 or 6IV ditto, the chance is the same as randomly finding one in the wild. You'd be better off getting red/blue on the VC and catching/glitching about a million Dittos, then transferring them all over. Eventually you'd find one with 6IVs. Eventually...

If possible, I'd appreciate a Meowth, Ponyta, Grimer, Krabby, Omanyte, Kabuto, or any of their evolutions (those are the main evolutionary lines I'm missing from the gen 1 dex). Of course, I'm missing tons of others, but I figure I'll go about filling my dex methodically

Also, it's still going to be a while, but I just thought I'd let you know ahead of time since it seemed like you didn't have much left in your game. If you can't manage any of those, though, it's fine. No worries.

If you're in Gen VI, I can provide you with some pretty decent breeding stock. I'll get you a ~5IV Seel, which gives really good coverage since it's in both the Field and Water I egg groups, as well as having a relatively low number of egg cycles.
From there, you can breed good mons to trade!

So, I did a little bit of calculation, since I was curious about this. Using a destiny knot and an everstone, with a 6IV mon and a 5IV mon, after 44 eggs, you have a 50% chance of having hatched a hexaperfect mon. After 146 eggs, a 90% chance. If you don't care about the nature and instead give one of them a Power item, those numbers drop to 37 and 123 eggs hatched, respectively. Double those numbers if you're going for a specific gender, and multiply them by 1.25 if you're looking for a specific ability. So, worst case scenario, where you're looking for a Pokemon of a specific gender, with a specific nature, and a specific ability, it takes 110 eggs for a 50% chance and 365 for a 90% chance.
