If you genuinely believe, that Nintendo are not doing screaming at GF to push gen 1, you've ALSO missed the point. People do not quite understand the reach of Pokémon, even if you sit on this board every day, I genuinely do not think people understand the marketing wide world appeal of this series. This game, ALONE, the Switch Pokémon game, could sell literally millions, and millions of units of the Switch. JUST on pokemon. that is how insanely big it is. If you give people a full Kanto HD "remake" of pokemon, the switch could unironically ONLY have a pokemon game on it, and it would be the best selling console of all time, all the other games, Zelda, Mario, everything, wouldn't even come close to the reach of a good hd pokemon game. Those would all just be neat little extras. If they wanted too, they could just have Pokemon Switch for Pokemon and that would still work. The nostalgia is there. People haven't grasped exactly what this series means to the world yet, but when proper first info starts dropping, just remember this post. Don't watch game sale preorders, watch Switch sales. It is going to destroy everything in its path, and the worst bit is, EVEN if its shit, the game, it doesn't matter. All they need is a pretty front and they'll cash grab every normie going. Pokémon is Nintendos golden goose, they're hidden trap card, they could be in financial ruin, and all they have to do is drop a proper marketed HD Pokémon game, and all will be well.
