Diglett boils down a mole into the most purest, simplest form, and there's honestly nothing you can do to perfect that besides having more. Plus, if you like Diglett, you're pretty much guaranteed to like Dugtrio, since it's just triple the Diglett.

Funny thing is that early on Poliwrath used to be a little more different - having a V-shaped body and much beefier arms. Kinda like a cartoon sailor.

Same goes with Mankey -it used to not look angry at all, had smooth fur and only exploded with rage once it evolved.
