There's a lot to like about BW2. It has almost everything the past games have while adding more to it. The dex variety is fantastic, being large but not completely bloated, and NPC teams are well-designed. There's enjoyable grinding spots like the White Treehollow and Black Tower that llet players level without it being a mindless chore, and new features like Join Avenue were some of the most useful ones in the series. A few flaws BW1 had were fixed, and by being a sequel it was able to expand on the world and Unova in the same way HGSS was able to expand on Kanto. There's plenty of content even after becoming champion; most other games can be dropped as soon as you beat the E4.
Arguably, the only major issues the games had were in its lack of a Battle Frontier, but PWT slightly alleviates this while also bringing in series-wide fanservice.
