It's definitely more autistic to name them their canon name. Normal people name their character after themselves.

I just name them whatever the fuck the game is called.

I.e if I'm playing Blue, I'm naming him Blue and then my rival Red.

Autistic? No. retarded? Yes.

Games are supposed to be an escape. especially ROLE PLAYING games. You play you in real life you don't need to do so in a game.

The only time I did so in a game was when the my name was the game character's name and that was purely out of canon name autism, not because I wanted to play Crystal with my name.

For Blue and Gold I named my character after myself and my rival as my brother. I stopped doing that in Sapphire which I named May for obvious reasons. Now I just call them after the title name like White or Moon.

What do you think is more autistic?
Naming your character after yourself, naming them their canon name, or naming your characters all the same name that isn't your own because you think it sounds cool and you can RP them as a self insert because deep down, you're still 12, just with more frequent erections over characters you wouldn't have realised you thought were hot.

I don't think there's any evidence she was ever planned to appear in game. Time/memory restraints don't make any sense, it's so easy to just add one fucking sprite and other small things.

I guess her origin is just the cover of that strategy book on your pic, which served as inspiration for the manga later. But yeah she cute.

I did that when I was I child, so now I see it a bit childish. But that's me, do your thing boi.

Usually, if I'm playing an rpg I make up a new name for each game. But pokémon is not that deep in terms of building your own character (in terms of personality, etc.) so I just use the "canon" name.
