They're only """pandering"" to the demographic that actually has money to spend on their games rather than the people who scream at them while downloading their games.

Parents and 90s kids with pokemon nostalgia and a pure understanding of the magic that made the original games about as iconic to the 90s as Jurassic fucking Park.

As for the TV show being dumber or whatever, good. Ash was supposed to be a scruffy mischief kid with a baseball cap not some super ace that's fucking Gary's job

i was going to compare LGPE to jurassic world but jurassic world wasn't born out of pure contempt for the people who enjoy the original film

the fucked up part is that instead of making an actually good game they just want to make a vapid recreation of the same shit from 20 years ago. imagine if they thought the way to make a game people liked was to make it a good one.

That simply helps my point, Jurassic world was made to rekindle the experience you had watching Jurassic Park as a CHILD, not challenge the critically-thinking adult perspective you gained in the years since.

THIS is LG and THIS is why it works, it's not a "gamer's" game and that's perfectly fine.

Once you win back the classic crowd, THEN you introduce them to all the extra baggage.

I can totally imagine fans of other franchises who dropped pokemon returning thanks to this project

The point is that the original Ash was a snarky, slightly mean but well meaning scruffy kid who argued with girls and wanted to be the very best.

His design and attitude just screamed 90s kid, if the changes to his character in the current TV show make him more like that then honestly that's a good move

You mean lower?
LGPE has less content, less Pokemon, less online features, and is just less of a game than it's predecessors, and even less content than the Gen 1 remakes that predate it a decade. The main feature Gamefreak is pushing to us us riding Pokemon, and it's much easier for Gamefreak to let you ride on your Onix than it is for them to make a proper, yet faithful remake of Kanto. The people they're appealing to see you riding on your Arcanine and go "wow! That's totally worth $60!" because that's all they care about. THEREFORE, their standards are lower.

LGPE has shown to cut as many corners as possible but people will still eat it up because the 90s kids and parents don't give a shit, hence, no fucking standards.

So why are they pandering to the people who either left then franchise 20 years ago and to the freeware normie scum that plays free mobile games and fortnite exclusively? You know, the people who are giving them the least amount of money? You would think that the loyal fans that have been playing and buying most of the games since the start would be the wiser option instead of ones that couldn't give a fuck.

The anime was always shit and Ash was only good at Pokemon during Jhoto, Sinnoh, and Kalos.

I hope that kids today aren't braindead retards that accept what ever is put in front of them. Kids having the mentality of "Well I'll just lower my standards to have fun" and the older aged fans saying "Well, it's just a kids game" are the reason why Pokemon today releases unfinished trash. Kids shouldn't have to put up with ok products, let alone blatently unfinished games. There is no 2 words harmsful in the english language than "Good" and "Job".

You say that, but I for one have bought every main series and spin-off Pokemon title. And I mean every, including the thirds and sequels, while screaming at them and downloading the roms still. And while I honestly think the series has gotten worse since Gen3, that's more than Go fans have and will do, even if LGPE does extremely well, they've already proven they're not dedicated to the franchise in the past.
