That is some of the ugliest box art I have ever seen for a game. What was the point of this game anyway? All it offered was GRAFIX and online random battles, which they added later in the series anyway. If you really wanted to battle random people online you could have just gone on gamefags or whatever and posted your friend code.

This. I look at it as being the best post game Pokémon has to offer. On its own? Sucks as for ditching stadium's rental system. but as a companion game? Beats the fuck out of battle frontier. So many modes. Pefect level of challenge. I miss it.

Online was fun too. I swear DP's meta was fun as fuck before platinum's tutors turned chomp into an unstoppable abomination. Thanks Gamefreak. Outrage was a mistake.

...and without the 3D MY ROOM

...and without remixed versions of the game OST
...and without a way to trade between your games
...otherwise, it was fine, I guess.

Gamefreak was the one to make that animation. GS only made the animations for gen 3-4 Pokemon.

the animations and models of pokemon were recycled from all the old 3D games. All they had to do were the stages, npcs and new shaders

So, I just remembered that there’s an adjustable rule for custom battles:

“If all Pokémon faint due to a move like Explosion or Selfdestruct, user loses?”

If set to “no,” it ties the game instead. Pretty sure this applies to recoil moves.

While it improved somethings it was a barebones release to cash in on the new Pokemon game and Wii success rather than taking their time and it killed the "Stadium" franchise.

Black White never got a way to play as your fav. Pokemon in 3D. XY had 3D models so now there is no "reason" to have a Stadium like game.

Gone are the minigames and cool extras or different non-GF tainted story.

Yeah they literally came out and said that there is no reason for these types of games anymore because the main series has 3D now. They still don't utilize the different battle modes they came up with which really bothers me since these game modes were a lot of fun to challenge. I'd like a tournament style mode that uses inverse battles or even fucking flying battles.

I find is strange how Gamefreak was proactive enough to "future proof" by adding walking animations for every Pokemon in SM but didn't think sky battles would be completely irrelevant after XY and to not base animations off of an extremely situational gimmick, especially since Pokemon like Starly and Farfetch'd aren't flying in their animations anyway.
