That's it. That's their thought process.
Nevermind the fact that making the new Pokemon slow as shit won't fix the other 2 or 3 generations of power/speed creep, but they literally balance the game around the regional dex because that's what VGC uses at first.
They're dumb.

They weren't thinking. Gen 3 did it right; if you introduce a lot of slow pokemon, then make them good mixed attackers or good walls.

I checked Smogon, the all have a niche in adv OU. That's usable. The powercreep made it to where most alola mons aren't even worth considering for UU this gen.
