>>36169929Depends on how committed they are, I guess. O mean, while we know genwunners can't handle Pokemon that aren't nostalgic, if Game Freak's patient about it they could probably have a little more time with them. The thing about the demo is, the older group isn't the average, they're just one of the two primary groups of the demo. It's older kids and 20-somethings, averaging both groups would probably give you 16 years old. It's just that kids figure into this far less than it used to be.
You're right, though, young adults today are increasingly less likely to be children of gen 1. Although, it is kind of weird seeing the young adults who would be part of later generations getting wet over LGPE for being gen 1, much less Go's popularity among the same group.
>he fact is all this Genwunners do NOT support the later gamesYou're right, which is why it's so baffling that Game Freak is chasing them. I am in my mid 30s and part of that original gen 1 generation but I feel like if they were going to chase that dream, they should have literally made a real gen 1 sequel that served as closure on Red and Green's story, rather than a generation with cameos that go nowhere and isn't interesting. I'd rather them make interesting new content that intersects with old characters in a meaningful way than just rehash old shit.
>This is probably why they're trying to hard to assure us that Gen 8 will be goodWhich is ironic, because they also keep saying it's going to be in the spirit of XY/SM and you have to think they get by now that no one likes the last two generations.
>Please oh please give me a source, I'd love to see this.I don't really have a source per se. You'd have to go and read 2channel and junk to see them ripping Masuda a new one over gen 7. But you'd also need to know Japanese or hope for the best with Google translate. Suffice to say, they're about as happy with the change in direction of the series as we are.
