>>36349929I want them to make water routes but good. With dive exploration, actual rewards, environment variety (the fact that is sea doesn't mean it has to be all the same, there can be gimmicks on each route), and lots of pokemon variety. Water type is the most abundant, there's no excuse.
I also want them to make some sunken ruins that you get by diving. Like Relic Castle but in the depths of the ocean.
I remember was a guy a year ago who made a pic where he fixed Hoenn's water routes doing pretty much all of what I've talked about, and now I want it on the core games. Don't have the pic, but it was really good.
Also, it has already been said, but more snow related places like a winter forest.
In fact, I would like to start seeing routes related to the different types of pokemon.
Imagine a path through a dark montane forest where it always feel like night, entire haunted routes (instead of just a tiny tower/house), poisonous purplish swamps, iron cavern/mines, a route that's pretty much a bug type hive... etc.
I don't know, it feels like there's a lot of unused types for route themes since they've just stuck to what's natural (lava, rock, ground, grass and water). There's a lot of untapped potential in the elemental nature the pokemon world is based on.
