Favorite is Bug.
I don't hate it for its design, or even for being useless. I just hate it for taking a unique typing (at the time) and ruining it by turning into yet another Bug/Flying Pokemon. Gen III in general had some really shitty bugs, but this was just egregious.

My favorite type is water. My least favorite water type is either keldeo or floatzel. I like horses which is why I like Rapidash and Mudsdale, but Keldeo i hate because it isn't a very realistic looking horse like rapidash and mudsdale. Floatzel looks stupid

Probably also Keldeo because my little brother used a level 100 one in BW2, my brothers and I did local wireless battles together, and he was really self-righteous that we shouldn't have flat-level battles because he got it up to level 100 and deserved to use it at level 100.

He didn't start getting so uppity about the level until after he stopped curbstomping my older brother and I when my big brother walled out Keldeo with a Water Absorb Jellicent (our brother was like 10 years old and genius enough to run Secret Sword/Close Combat/Aqua Tail/Surf) and I 6-0'd him with a Soul Dew Latias with Ice Beam for coverage that 2HKO'd Hydreigon on its switch-in from Keldeo the first turn and had a nice time one-shotting his other four 4x weak to Ice mons before taking Keldeo down with Psychic.

We laugh about it now. Actually, no, Lanturn for being boring-looking and losing Chinchou's perfect darling eyes.

Fav is ghost, and while I like them all, I'm inclined to say decidueye. I like that they have started expanding on what a ghost type can and cannot be, since for the longest time it has basically been either creepy blob or haunted object. I love blacephalon, a-marowak and lunala. Decidueye is just meh to me, compared to all these other, cooler ghosts.

I don't mind the new set of shitmons when they change the types. Gen 6 was great with a normal/ground rodent, fire/flying bird. Then the regressed back to boringness of normal and normal/flying with gen 7.

The problem isn't that they make new shitmons period, it's that they MUST fill the niche of Ratata, Pidgey, and several others, specifically.

Stuff like Noctowl, Slaking, and Stoutlands lines were very welcome because they weren't "Ratata but different"

Drops his ground typing when it evolves. I don't hate it's evolutions. I know a few other pokemon drop their ground typing as well when they evolve, but nincada splits in two non-ground directions at once.

This pokemon single handedly rebranded the entire fairy type to be the dumb cutemon type. We have Mawile, Mimikyu, Xerneas, Gardevoir, Ribombee, and the Tapu's, but because of this little shit every one will just think of fairy as "the pink type" even though nobody call grass the green type or any dumb shit like that. It's useless and only lessens the type for existing as well as the entire franchise.

It just doesn't look right no matter what it does. The decision to make it more anthro than needed so that it can function as a biped causes it to look uncomfortable on all fours, while also being fairly unnecessary since mongeese are already capable of standing on their hind legs. It really wouldn't take much to make it a facultative biped in the first place. Gumshoos pulls it off far more cleanly and even has a reason to do so as it ties into its design inspiration - Zangoose is only bipedal to look cool but fails in doing so.

Semi-Related, but does anyone else really appreciate the fact that out of the 800-whatever Pokémon and all their forms, each and everyone one of them is somebody's favorite? Whether it's because of a childhood memory or a Nuzlocke playthrough or whatever it may be. I have a pretty normie favorite (Charizard), but even Pokémon like Remoraid or Trubbish or Vanilluxe is someone's favorite for some reason. It's nice, you know? Take this picture for example. Who in their right mind likes Semisear, right? He consistently wins least favorite Pokémon polls. But someone out there liked him enough to make this. And out of the tens of millions of Pokémon players, he must be a few folks favorites. Or my cousin who's favorite Pokémon is Unown O. Like, specifically that one. And my stepbrother's who's favorite is Bronzor cause I gave it to him as his first card. It's just a really cool thought. It's weird.

The Therian/Black and White Kyurem thing was pretty cool. So was Mega Evolution. I hope they end up refining both of these things in gen 8. I was so upset when Mega Evolution was replaced by Z-Moves (worst mechanic yet). I'm getting off topic. I agree with you on the Therian thing though.
