5 because genesect best
1 because Mew was the closest a pokemon came to actually legendary. Being rumored about among school yards before the internet and hacking and shit
4 mythicals are just cool/interesting
Then 3. Deoxys is cool too. It was nice jirachi came with colosseum disks making you the cool kid if you had it.
Celebi is honestly a weak pokemon. It kind of had the mew advantage of being rare and talked about, but they dropped the ball when they abandoned the GS ball shit. The one time they could have had interesting execution dropping a mythical, but just made it another generic distribution
Marshadow is okay, but otherwise magearna and zeraora don't even feel like mythicals. Not bad designs, but you can tell that they just needed to pump out some mandatory mythicals for movies
Gen 6 mythicals were all forgetable and I forgot they even happened. Nothing special.

Adding onto this post these are the ones I like the most. Deoxys, Jirachi, Mew, Darkrai, Manaphy, Genesect, Keldeo, Victini, and Arceus. Deoxys is actually my favorite Pokemon.

The best ones are Genesect, Meloetta, and Deoxys, and I'm also very fond of Magearna.
However, Volcanion is one of the very few designs I dislike immensely in Pokemon, and Zeraora almost equals it. Diancie and Hoopa are eh, as are most of 4's. I like Manaphy though. Darkrai I couldn't get over seeing the necklace as a lower jaw, so it always looked goofy as shit to me.

I think V has the best, followed closely by IV. Individually, I also like Deoxys, Diancie, Magearna and Marshadow.
On the other hand, I'm not big on:
- Volcanion. It's just so inconsistent - why is its design all high-tech-looking when it's an ancient, mountain-dwelling nature god? It's no wonder people thought it belonged in the Power Plant or was an artificial creation by Team Flare or something; its actual lore and design don't mesh at all.
- Hoopa Confined; it's just really garish and ugly, and not even in a way that seems intentional like Bruxish or Alolan Muk (really, even then, those two manage to pull it off better). Fortunately, Hoopa Unbound tweaks the color scheme to be much less grating - and much more importantly, it also also takes the concept in a much more interesting direction, so I can get behind that one. It's actually a pretty cool Pokémon.
- Zeraora... ugh, Zeraora. It's... not even a BAD design, but when it's tacked-on and unexplained in the games and even the movie about it doesn't give it any interesting lore... why is it not an ordinary Pokémon? The only thing we know about it that makes it interesting is about its powers and abilities, which works when those powers and abilities are something actually strange and bizarre and incredible like time travel or wish granting, but if it's just that it generates electricity from storms and static and stuff... why is it deserving of a Mythical status? Yeah, I get that it's not "just like every other Electric-type" because every other Electric-type generates electricity internally and Zeraora relies on outside electricity - but that's no more of a distinguishing factor or gimmick than any other species would have. That's like making Dodrio Mythical because no other Flying-type has three heads - it's unique for its type, sure, but there's nothing interesting about it and it has no lore or backstory or reason to be so unique and rare. What's the point?
