Pretty much nothing is based on the US at all, most of the region takes inspiration from Europe( most of the bridges for example) with some Japanese here and there like the entralink being Tokyo imperial palace and skyarrow being the rainbow bridge.
The story is clearly Chinese with European knights as the evil team.
