Dex entries are such a meme sometimes. They sometimes say interesting things, sometimes stupid things, sometimes underwhelming things that don't fit the mon, sometimes mention real world animals.
They are clearly written by different members of Game Freak and you can see they take different approaches.

The dex is spelling out the bare minimum it can do with zero effort. If Mewtwo concentrated even a tiny bit of effort it should be able to destroy that meteor too, for example.

100 meters in 2 seconds is only 112 mph. That makes Mewtwo X canonically slower than Rapidash who can reach 150 mph. And even that's nothing compared to shit like Pidgeot who can break the fucking sound barrier.

This. Mew2 Y is perfect, its limbs aren't necessary, only his psychic power, so he loses weight in these and gains in his head in a way that also makes decreases air resistance, making him faster. It's fucking great and perfectly on the line with Mewtwo, X is just "huh we need a different one so... what if we make him buff and fighting type or something?"

LGPE's entries for the megas are just boring in comparison to SM's. They're all shit like "Mega evolving made it really strong!" The pokedex in this game is disappointing because everything else is just using their old entries from Yellow and the megas and Alolan formes feel like they were written to fit with Yellow's basic style.
