I thought I would like eevee more but the fucking baby noises are incredibly annoying. No one would like this series if it's mascot were a literal furbaby.

Pikachu at first glance sells the basic premise of Pokemon: creatures with fantastic abilities. It has a lightning bolt tail and yellow color scheme that tells you it's an electrical rodent. Eevee is just my mom's ambiguous carnivoran, and it needs the context of at least 2 other Pokemon to get across its shtick (branching evolution).

I used to think Eevee would be better suited for the mascot position, but when I remembered the series strong suit was for having elemental monsters with charming designs but devastating attacks, I feel the yellow electric rodent would be better representative of the idea allot more. Eevee relies on having the most evolutions of all species to be interesting. It heavily emphasizes a part of the package, but not the entire package.

Eevee at least gets to share the burden with his brethren, brethren that are actual good Pokemon to use in gameplay and competitive battles, so he's harder to run into the ground.

Raichu and Pichu don't do this, so Pikachu feels forced much too easily.

Pikachu was never forced into the ground, the only reason it got into the anime was because Japanese kids liked and talked about it a lot because of how hard to find it was in the games.

Although I hate Let's Go, I wouldn't be surprised if they did more Let's Go editions in the future, and if they do I would love a Let's Go: Chansey and Audino.

Not because I would play it, but because I get to see Audino be omega cute, but I know she'll probably lose in sales to Chansey because she's less recognizable.
