This, you can only get melmetal in go, you only buy let's go to battle with it, you know with an actual moveset.

And it will eventually be made available in gen 8, unless they decide to make Go compatible with bank.

You still need LG to get enough Meltan candies for Melmetal.
Though you don’t need your own copy of LG, you could share one copy between many people.

You need LG for the mystery box, which spawns Meltan, which gets you Meltan candies. That’s the only way to get Meltan candies, unless you want to wait until 2020 for your buddy Meltan to pick up 400 of them.

Actually fag, Melmetal comes from GO as does Meltan. If you have the app, which I've had since the public beta, then you're good.

Rare Candies are not particularly common either. The mystery box gives you minimum 72 candies per week (catch 18 + transfer), or up to 126 using Pinap Berries. With certain events that doubles again, and currently it’s every 3 days so you can get to 400 in a week if you’re not a blinkered angry moron.
