HGSS was the greatest Pokemon games to ever be released. The only games that came close to its greatness were Pokemon B&W

Not my personal opinion, my favorites are XY, this is just what I perceive as objectively best. B2W2 had more effort and less flaws than HGSS, but both are near-perfect

Correct. It took the greatness of the originals and made them even better.

Listen if you want to call HGSS good/great or say they're your favorite games that's all fine, but to say they're "near-perfect" is just mind bogglingly stupid. Play any of the other games you listed there (besides crystals since they have most of the same flaws), and then go play HGSS again afterwards and tell me they're "near-perfect".

The NPCs who worship HGSS are the people who literally haven't played it for 10 years.
