>>37593542>you could chose nidoran, vulpix, abra, etcYou say this as if i hadnt made that choice before, which i did during my MANY adventures through Kanto, making other mons the starters dont make them new or unique, its just repacking the same thing in a different style.
>Im just saying that piling shit on top of shit every other year makes it exponentially harder to improve the graphics and gameplay, not that you would be playing the exact same every time.Wouldnt it be? If the next game didnt had new mons, and it had a ghost gym, wouldnt i know EXACTLY what i would fight there? And any kind of gym actually? I already know what i would fight, all the game, all the time. I also would know every fucking "new" encounter.
>oh boy what will i find here, oh its X, again, for the 357th timeEVEN if you changed the whole story, no gyms, no elite, its a fantasy setting now, you are a fucking knight and shit, it would STILL not make the old mons exciting again.
Street Fighter has new fighters to choose, Mario has new enemies to defeat, SMT has new demons to learn about, Zelda has new characters to meet. All of those bring a sense of freshness, some being liked while others not, and eventually some become beloved part of the franchise, earning their right to place among the classic of the original game as just as important, like Pokeys, Ganondorf, Cammy, etc...
Why pokemon cant have new pokemon to capture?
