>>37644932>>37644981Jubilife's location always felt akward to me. It's pretty much shibuya aesthetically, one of the busiest and most crowded places in the world. yet it never really conveys a metropolitan feeling.
If you go north you are in the most pastoral place in the region, if you go east the most industrial, west the historical city, and if you go south bumfuck nowhere.
The transicitions are kind of awkward and inorganic. It would probably feel more metropolitan if it was surrounded by cities like eternia (housing), veilstone (commerce) and sunnyshore (energy), in a similar way saffron does.
But I guess it's a valid arrangement in a region that has a mansion right next to the swamps and ironworks directly north of the flower fields.
>>37645499I was kind of surprised how good vermillion looked in HGSS, like it went from shitty smelly port that didn't even have roads, to what seems like a romantic port city with yachts, lamp posts and cobblestone roads. It also looks really good at sunset.
>>37646637I don't really like the city itself, but the feeling of being in the toughest, probably highest, mountainous part of johto, where dragons, bears and birds of prey dwell feels great. I would like to think it has great views of the bay area.
