When this game came out everybody said it was the worst in the franchise and that it killed pokemon. But most of you are 14 and don’t remember such things

B2W2 was even worse because of fusions, but I'm sure that most of those people complaining didn't even play the games.
It was hard to be a Pokémon fan those days but it's good to see that many fans changed their minds about gen V.

I regret buying DPPt, HGSS, Battle Revolution, Ranch, BW, Dream Radar, and Pokédex 3D Pro, but not B2W2.

I remember being a little skeptical of splitting a third version into two games, but boy did B2W2 earn it. I never expected a third version to have as much new content as it did. I have to imagine that it had more people and resources available since no remakes were in the works at that point.

The lower the score, the more confident the developers felt, the better the game, the less money "journalists" received

I liked that you got an entire half of a region to explore at your leisure right after coming out of the E4. Especially with it being my first Unova experience, all of it felt fresh. It had a very fulfilling sense of adventure compared to most other mainline games.

Considering many of them just follow the trending opinions, there's nothing to be happy about it. They acted like sheeps then and they did it again when they started "loving" the 5th gen while shitting on the last ones.

BW2 is a straight up sequel to BW. New areas, completely new story, new side activities and Unova now has Pokemon from gen 1-4.

Ultra's a slight twist on SM's story, with a different "postgame" that adds a few more Ultra Beasts and Necrozma formes.

usum is the worst of all worlds. it's not a direct sequel like b2w2, and it doesn't fix the flaws of the original games like previous third versions did. it's very minor glorified dlc that game freak sold for full price under the guise of "ultra changes."
