Kind of unrelated but ever since Gen 3 I've noticed a really autistic trend with Sugi/Ohmura/Whoever boxarts
>If it's the first in a gen, use the stock artwork
>If it's not, extra artwork
Without fail this applies to all of them. Groudon, Kyogre, Dialga, Palkia, Reshiram, Zekrom, Xerneas, Yveltal, Solgaleo and Lunala all use their regular art while Charizard, Venusaur, Rayquaza, Giratina-O, Ho-oh, Lugia, Black/White Kyurem, Primal Groudon/Kyogre, the Necrozma forms and if you really wanna go there, Pikachu and Eevee got bonus art for the cover. Why can't they just do extra art all the time. Why is there some autistic tradition that the first games of a gen MUST use the stock art of the mascots. Do they hold the graphic designers at gunpoint or something to enforce this? This shouldn't bother me as much as it does since it's so incredibly fucking minor but my autism demands an answer
