The reason people pay for drastic (and probably why they charge for it in the first place) is its built from the ground up for mobile and runs really good as a result unlike shit thats just ported over from PC. You shouldn't really need anything special for it

You don't have to "pay" for shit. A two minute google search or Aptoid gets you the APK free as shit, which runs amazingly well on my $99 Go Phone from Walmart. Never had a problem one yet.

I tried for like, 5 years to emulate Golden Sun: Dark Dawn on No$GBA and Desmume, configuring and fuckering around, downloading different packs and whatnot. Always emulated slow as shit, always crashed, screen flickered like a candle lit on Whore House Wednesday. Drastic played it fucking PERFECTLY on my piece of shit 16GB phone. Fucking goddamn, faggot

I sold my DS family of stuff long ago, but wanted to go back and finally experience HGSS, Platinum, and Emerald. I started Gen 5, but since I already had a phone I just bought this bluetooth controller/earbuds and have been emulating away. Hell I could play XD Gale of Darkness if I wanted.

The emulator was only $5 and for what it's worth it works very well.

The big issue with emulating DS/DSi is you're forced to use touchscreen controls or you gotta awkwardly move up from your controller to touch the screen.

Touchscreen is only awkward if you are playing games with too much action like Mario and platformers in general, but you can just use a controller for these. If you are just going to play turn based RPGs or fully touchscreen games like WarioWare, Trauma Center or EBA, touchscreen controls (specially with a stylus) are perfect. Not to mention that 3D games look way better than on a real DS due the increased internal resolution.
