The graphics themselves aren't really the issue to me, Pokemon's always been graphically behind regardless of generation, and Nintendo as a whole hasn't really focused on graphics too much starting with the Wii
But fuck, I know we're still going to get the same lifeless, stiff animations, there's going to be a gorillion cutscenes everywhere again, more cut features that should've been mainstays, more effort going into places it doesn't need to be applied in, just everything that actually ruins gameplay and getting immersed in the world

This. Games aren't magically fun because they look good. Games are fun because they're factually fun, not subjectively good looking.

As I said to someone on YouTube earlier, there's a reason companies like AE and Activision Blizzard aren't supporting the Switch much.

It's not because the Switch can't handle them, it's because they'd require a visual downgrade which would make it clear there's no substance to the games which would no longer be hidden even from the most retarded graphicfag.

I thought that image was originally a .jpg and anon changed to .png thinking it might help with the artifacting, but if you look at any of the text in that image isnt really fucked up at all and thats an actual screenshot.

OP, XC2 had only 40 people working on it, a big chunk of the staff was moved to work on BotW
Which explains the lack of polish the game has
