>>38387853This kind of thinking is what leads to the "Ice needs a buff" meme. Types are more than just the chart. They're also moves, and the pokemon that use them. Yes Dragon type looks like a defensive type on paper, with a set of resistances to common types and only two weaknesses, but when you look at the moves Dragons can use (Draco Meteor, base 140bp, Outrage base 120bp) and you look at the Pokemon using them (Dragonite 134 ATK 100 SATK, Salamence 135 ATK 110 SATK, Garchomp 130 ATK, Rayquaza 150 ATK 150 SATK, Latios 130 SATK, Hydreigon 105 ATK 125 SATK, etc.) and you realize that you're giving some of the strongest moves in the game to some of the strongest pokemon in the game, and they get STAB on them, and not much resists them, and they resist a lot themselves, and suddenly the type starts to look like it needs a nerf. The fact Garchomp, Salamence, and Hydregon were still common pokemon after Fairy came out shows that Fairy was fine.
